Dress #094: Regency dress in yellow
This hand-stitched dress is made from shimmering pale yellow Japanese paper, accented across the bodice, sleeves, and hem with Japanese tissue and beads. It is based on a dress from ca. 1810, held by the McCord Museum (accession M982.20.1). The original dress is silk, with handmade bobbin lace, chenille embroidery, and pearls on the bodice and sleeves.
The dress is six inches tall, stitched by hand on 8x10 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
Materials: Japanese paper and tissue, cotton floss, and glass beads on cotton paper.
