Dress #088: Edwardian afternoon dress in rose with celadon
This hand-stitched paper Edwardian dress is made from pale pink Japanese paper, with shimmering pearly paper forming the lace shirtwaist. Celadon stitches stand in for the embroidered trim, and glass bead buttons complete the dress. The design is based on an afternoon dress by Green & Co, from the May 1909 issue of 'Les Modes : revue mensuelle illustrée des Arts décoratifs appliqués à la femme'.
The dress is six inches tall, stitched by hand on 8x10 inch paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
Materials: Japanese paper and cotton floss on cotton paper.
