Chatelaine Handbag in Lucky Cat Faces

The chatelaine handbag was designed to attach to a belt; the style popular throughout the Victorian era. This handbag is based on a design from the fall and winter 1902-1903 catalogue of Chicago’s Chas. A. Stevens & Bros.

The handbag is 4.25 inches tall, stitched by hand on 5x7 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.  

Materials: Japanese paper, glass beads, and cotton floss on cotton paper.
