1890s Boot in Orange

These tall button boots are from a late Victorian design sold by Jack Jacobus Ltd. in Great Britain. The original boot, dating from 1895-1900, is held by the Museum at FIT (accession 71.202.16).

The boot is 4 inches tall, stitched by hand on 5x7 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
