Dress #104: Edwardian tailored suit in yellow and blue

This hand-stitched paper afternoon suit is made from a pearly yellow Japanese paper accented with blue trim and yellow beads. The design is based on an a tailored suit from Linker Co., as shown in the April 1914 issue of ‘Les Modes : revue mensuelle illustrée des Arts décoratifs appliqués à la femme’. The original dress is made from ribbed ‘Ottoman’ fabric.

The dress is six inches tall, stitched by hand on 8x10 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
