Dress #100: Late Georgian dress in brown

This hand-stitched paper dress is based on Museum of Fine Arts, Boston accession 53.197, an American dress from 1825-1830. The original is made of dark brown brocaded silk satin featuring sprays of roses and other small flowers.

The dress is six inches tall, stitched by hand on 8x10 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
