Vampire Bat in Turquoise & Gold
If you look closely, you'll see that this ferocious little vampire bat has teeny tiny stitched fangs. It is based on an 1811 illustration of the Vampire Bat from ‘The Natural History of Quadrupeds, and Cetaceous Animals: : from the Works of the Best Authors, Antient and Modern, Embellished with Numerous Plates, Accurately Coloured from Nature; in Two Volumes’.
The bat is 4.75 inches wide, stitched by hand on 5x7 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
Materials: Nepalese and Korean papers, glass bead, and cotton floss on cotton paper.
